Singer Nam Gyu-ri is receiving passionate support from fans as she shares her long-buried feelings ahead of the release of her new song.
Recently, Nam revealed a special documentary titled "Finally Speaking My Heart, Confessions Through Song, From 'C.Y.A.' to 'Still Like You'" on her YouTube channel 'Gyu-lmung'.
In the video description, she said, "There was a time when I thought saying nothing was the best option, but as a result, unwanted misunderstandings arose," adding, "Instead of suffering alone, I increasingly feel that I need to be more honest with those who understand and support me."
Immediately after the video was released, fans left heartfelt messages, saying, "It's hard to even imagine how difficult it must have been for you," "Though less shiny, Gyu has become stronger; I love you," "I hope to see the reunion of 'C.Y.A.'," and "I will wait while 'Gyu-lmung'" as a wave of support continued.
In the documentary, Nam reflected on her time with 'C.Y.A.', stating, "If the day comes when we can reunite, I want to make our own music. I am quietly waiting for that day." She also recalled the broadcast of 'Sugar Man 3' five years ago, saying, "I was moved to tears by the love and trust of fans who waited for me unconditionally. I am sorry for making you wait so long."
Regarding her departure from 'C.Y.A.' and her solo career, she confessed, "It was a time when freedom and fear coexisted." Recently, she has opened a YouTube channel 'Gyu-lmung' to share her everyday life and time spent taking care of herself with fans.
The 2025 project album 'Memories', which started this year, is a series that expresses the emotions and moments she has experienced as an artist across various genres. In May, she released her first song, a remake of 'Heartache', and will release her second digital single 'Still Like You' on the 17th. This song attempts a change with arrangements centered on band sounds, deviating from the existing emotional ballad, expanding her musical spectrum.
Meanwhile, Nam Gyu-ri's new song 'Still Like You' will be released on the 17th through various online music sites.
