Kim Byung-man, who has been entangled in a messy fight with his ex-wife, has obtained the title of 'loving man.' He will join as a new loving man on TV Chosun's 'Loving Men of Joseon.'
In a teaser video for 'Loving Men of Joseon' released on the 14th, Kim Byung-man mentioned his difficult past during a divorce lawsuit with his ex-wife, saying, "I have a son. I also have a daughter..." With his wedding approaching in September, he already has two children with his remarriage partner.
Kim Byung-man said, "Although I only talked about my divorce, honestly, I even thought about completely sorting everything out. But my children saved me. They are the ones who lifted me up again. Counting my children and my future wife, I can say 'nine, three, ten' when combined," expressing his deep love for his family.
Recently, Kim Byung-man reiterated his position regarding the adoption termination lawsuit of his adopted daughter B, following his divorce from Ms. A. On the 8th, the Seoul Family Court ruled in favor of Kim Byung-man's third adoption termination lawsuit filed against B. Kim Byung-man adopted B, who was nine years old at the time, after registering his marriage with Ms. A, who is seven years older than him, in 2010.
Legal adoption termination recognizes an adopted child as being born within a marriage, ending the relationship with the biological parents and making the child's name according to the adoptive parents. However, after starting a separation in 2012, Kim Byung-man filed for divorce in 2019 due to income-related disputes and initiated his first adoption termination lawsuit in 2020. He subsequently underwent a second adoption termination lawsuit in 2022 and a third in November 2024, receiving the court's ruling on the 8th.
Regarding the adoption termination ruling, Kim Byung-man's side explained, "The judgment did not include the phrase 'recognition of immoral acts due to falsehood,' and that expression was interpreted in the context that falsehood was one of the reasons for the adoption termination." They added, "We regret any confusion caused in this process."
Additionally, he added, "Kim Byung-man hopes that no more children are hurt due to this ruling." He also clarified regarding his future bride, stating, "I met my future wife after the marriage breakdown and we have had two children together," addressing suspicions of having extramarital children.
Meanwhile, Kim Byung-man registered his marriage with Ms. A in 2010, but began living separately in 2012. He proceeded with the divorce lawsuit in 2019, reaching a conclusion in 2023. During the divorce process, Ms. A's side claimed habitual domestic violence by Kim Byung-man and filed criminal charges, but the police referred the case with a non-indictment opinion, and the prosecution found no charges.
Kim Byung-man, who has two children, is set to hold his wedding with his future bride on September 20.
