The film 'Boss,' which has confirmed its release this Chuseok (directed by Ra Hee-chan | produced by HYBE MEDIA CORP | distributed by HYBE MEDIA CORP, MindMark Co., Ltd.), is drawing attention with its creative concept of the story about organization members who do not want the boss position, and has revealed stills featuring the first visuals of 'Suntae,' 'Kangpyo,' and 'Panho.'
'Boss,' a comic action movie depicting the desperate battle of organization members who fiercely 'concede' the boss position to each other for their dreams ahead of the selection of the next boss, which is crucial for their future, is promising unique laughter points with its fresh setting and unconventional characters.
Unlike most films where organization members engage in a bloody war to seize the boss position, 'Boss' is set to comically portray the struggles of members trying to 'concede' the boss position to each other.
First, 'Suntae' (Jo Woo-jin) is a chef at the Chinese restaurant 'Mimiru' who wants to take over the country's best restaurants, but the reality is that he cannot escape being the second-in-command of the 'Sikgupa.' 'Kangpyo' (Jung Kyung-ho), who is mentioned as a strong candidate for the next boss, also refuses to become the boss, getting caught in tango as if by fate. Meanwhile, 'Panho' (Park Ji-hwan), who wants to become the boss more than anyone but has been deemed unqualified, will provide an amusing and unique setting never seen before, which is expected to elicit laughter from the audience.
Additionally, 'Taekyu' (Lee Gyu-hyung), an undercover police officer who infiltrates the 'Sikgupa,' joins in, causing the boss 'concession' war to flow in an unpredictable direction. It raises anticipation for who will claim the next boss position in the 'Sikgupa' and how the film will conclude.
Meanwhile, while the previously released launch poster stirred curiosity by not revealing the characters' appearances, the stills of the three candidates released this time increase expectations by providing a glimpse of the chemistry among the three boss candidates. Props such as gas canisters, work gloves, and wooden swords that the characters possess also showcase each character's individuality, adding to the intrigue about the film.
