Actor Jeong Eun-pyo revealed the story behind leaving a will to motivate his eldest son to lose weight.
On the 14th, Jeong Eun-pyo said, "Ji-woong really loved to eat. It was probably his way of relieving stress that comes from being in the spotlight at a young age by appearing on broadcasts," and added, "I tried tempting him with allowances if he lost weight, but after trying for about two days, he laughed and said, 'Dad, I can't do it; I can't resist eating.'" He posted a lengthy message.
He continued, "I even jokingly left a will in a very extreme manner. 'Ji-woong, if Dad dies, you must lose weight! This is my will.' Of course, I said it with a smile, but I was serious," and he noted, "No matter what I said, the weight that I couldn't lose was something I started to seriously tackle on my own before going to the military and it seems I have succeeded to some extent. I didn't know the exact weight because he didn't tell me, but he peaked close to 120 kg, so he had gained a lot, and now he is in the low 70 kg range, which means he has lost quite a bit."
Jeong Eun-pyo also stated, "Seeing that he continues running and climbing after returning from the military, I think he will succeed in reaching his goal of 60 kg, but I hope he doesn't overdo it and avoid injury," displaying pride towards his son.
Meanwhile, Jeong Eun-pyo married in 2002 and has two sons and one daughter. His eldest son, Jeong Ji-woong, gained great love for his intelligent appearance when he appeared on the SBS entertainment program 'Star Junior Show Pung-eobbang'. He became a topic of conversation by passing the entrance exam for Seoul National University. Additionally, Ji-woong drew attention when he lost 50 kg after enlisting in the military, returning with a completely changed face.
Recently active in tvN's 'Our Unwritten Seoul', Jeong Eun-pyo will appear in the new play 'Star of Seoul'. He plays the role of the locksmith Kim Man-soo, and it will take place from the 15th to October 26 at Daehakro Art House.
