On the 13th, Shim Ha-eun posted on her social media, "The road I was on was flooded, and I was advised to take a detour... the tires of the G-Class were submerged. I was scared," along with a video.
The video shows a vehicle driving on a road where heavy rain is pouring, conveying a sense of urgency.
The 'G-Class' she mentioned is the Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 model, a luxury SUV priced from a minimum of 250 million won to 300 million won, depending on options. Shim Ha-eun also added, "Everyone drive safely and return home safely."
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, a heavy rain warning was issued for most areas of Seoul, Incheon, and northern Gyeonggi Province at 6 p.m. that day. Strong rain ranging from 10 to 30 mm per hour accompanied by gusts and thunder was poured, particularly concentrated in the Incheon island areas and northwestern Gyeonggi Province.
The heavy rain in the central region is expected to continue until today (14th). The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted that 30 to 70 mm of rain could fall per hour in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the five western islands in the early morning, as well as 50 mm per hour in central-northern Gangwon's inland.
