Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio (51) endured the humiliation of being searched by police who did not recognize him while visiting Ibiza, Spain.
On the 13th (local time), according to the Daily Mail and others, DiCaprio was standing at the entrance to a tequila party in Ibiza, Spain, alongside his model girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, when he was stopped by police for questioning.
At the time, he was wearing a black baseball cap, a short-sleeved T-shirt, and a gold necklace. He is known to often wear a mask when going out; however, that day he was not wearing a mask and was barefaced.
According to reports, DiCaprio was held by police at the entrance of the party venue and had to undergo a body search. It is said that the police initially did not recognize him even after seeing his face.
Witnesses stated that DiCaprio first introduced himself to the police, and only then did the police request to see his identification. A video released by the Daily Mail captured a moment where a woman says, "They are searching me completely right now," who is presumed to be his girlfriend Ceretti.
However, according to Page Six and others, it was reported that all attendees, regardless of their fame, had to go through the same security procedures, such as identification checks and searches, in order to attend the party. DiCaprio is said to have responded kindly and joked with the police.
