Singer and actress IU boasted about her close friendship with Park Bo-gum.

That day, IU revealed the behind-the-scenes of the surprise event for "Park Bo-gum's Cantabile." After secretly visiting the waiting room, IU began with recording a video letter and held a strategy meeting with the "Cantabile" writer.
IU noted that after her surprise appearance was confirmed, she met Park Bo-gum at the "Blue Dragon Series Awards" and expressed, "I was a bit worried about whether to talk about my grants in 'Cantabile,' but there was no such talk at all. I'm going to Park Bo-gum's fan meeting (as a guest) next week. I thought maybe I couldn't say anything because I felt sorry for asking for two because of that."
The writer conveyed that "after the fan meeting casting was completed, we still talked. Bo-gum expressed his disappointment, saying Ji-eun would usually come."

IU also shared her surprise appearance feelings, stating, "What should I do since Bo-gum is crying? But it should be good for the broadcast," she explained. "I was so frantic. Surprising someone always makes me frantic. But Bo-gum seems to have really liked it so I'm very glad."
She later added, addressing the audience who stayed until late, "Actually, it is now midnight. I'm worried about how those folks will return late. Thank you so much for staying until the end."
