Today (14th), MBC's "Save Me! Homes" (directed by Jeong Da-hi, Nam Yu-jeong, Kim Wan-cheol, Heo Ja-yoon, Kim Seong-nyeon, hereafter referred to as "Homes") reflects on Kim Sook's broadcasting life as she celebrates her 30th anniversary and embarks on a real estate tour.
This broadcast is a special program commemorating team leader Kim Sook's 30th anniversary in broadcasting, looking back on her dynamic 30-year broadcasting career and the challenges of living in Seoul. Kim Sook, who debuted as a KBS 12th generation comedian in 1995 and celebrates her 30th anniversary this year, noted, "It has been 30 years since I left Busan," adding, "Today, I will go to the house that is listed on my resident registration and focus on the houses I have actually lived in."
This "Kim Sook's 30 Years of Dynamic Real Estate Tour" features her long-time friends Jang Hye-jin and Joo Woo-jae. The three discuss Kim Sook's life graph while reflecting on her 30 tumultuous years in broadcasting. Kim Sook disclosed, "When I debuted in 1995, I joined the acting line of Im Ha-ryong, but switched to Yoo Jae-suk's line in 1997. I worked on skits with Yoo Jae-suk, but I was pressured to structure the skits around him," eliciting laughter.
Jang Hye-jin reveals that she attended school with Jang Dong-gun from 1995 to 1998 while studying at the Korea National University of Arts. She further shares, "Back then, I got a place with a friend near our school in Bogwang-dong, but I moved to Gwacheon because I didn't like it when friends only came over to drink. When I was moving, Dong-gun's brother helped load the moving truck," revealing an unexpected connection.
Additionally, recalling Jang Dong-gun, Jang Hye-jin said, "When we were in school, I liked Dong-gun. Even when he cleaned, it was like magic that made cleaning beautiful. At that time, he seemed not to have any sweat smell," inducing laughter.
The three introduce Yangpyeong-dong, where Kim Sook lived in 2003. Kim Sook shares that her popularity skyrocketed after her role as the slapping girl in "Gag Concert" in 2002, allowing her to shoot three to four commercials within two weeks of broadcasting. She says that she purchased her first house in Yangpyeong-dong in 2003 and moved to an APT. in Yeomni-dong, Mapo, in 2004. Upon checking the current market prices, Kim Sook expressed regret, saying, "I also sold here just before the house prices shot up."
Subsequently, the three head towards Ewha Womans University, the center of 90s trends. Kim Sook admits that she opened a clothing store near Ewha but closed it down after just two months. She started clothing sales based on her major in traditional clothing but found it difficult to talk to customers due to her shyness, causing laughter. Kim Sook's 30th anniversary special! "30 Years of Dynamic Broadcasting Life" will be aired tonight at 10 p.m. on MBC's "Save Me! Homes."
