The group Young Posse has completed preparations to chew through growth pain.
Young Posse (Jung Seon-hye, Wi Yeon-jung, Gianna, Do-eun, Han Ji-eun) will release their fourth EP 'Growing Pain pt.1: FREE' through various music streaming sites today (14th) at 6 p.m.
The title track 'FREESTYLE' embodies the group's declaration that they will present art as they follow their hearts without yielding to the views or standards defined by others. It freely combines elements from various genres such as jazz, metal, and hip-hop based on punk hip-hop, breaking down genre boundaries. Features include straightforward lyrics added over an unstoppable beat.
The music video released alongside the tracks will feature Young Posse in mixed and matched settings with different moods. The five members exhibit unrefined, contradictory behavior, presenting free-spirited energy. Young Posse suggests an evolution from 'national hip-hop girls' to 'national hip-hop older sisters,' showcasing their intense and confident 'hip crush' charm at every moment.
In addition, 'Growing Pain pt.1: FREE' contains a total of seven high-quality tracks, including 'YSSR', which conveys the ambition to stand firm in the face of sharp questions thrown by the world; 'ADHD', which boldly expresses the theme of 'the real me'; 'School's Out', which unfolds the stories of Jung Seon-hye and Do-eun, two members who dropped out of school due to their passion for music, as if peering into a diary; 'MON3Y 8ANK', which captures honest feelings about craving success between realistic desires and dreams; 'soju', which vividly expresses the undeniable rebelliousness and free spirit of adolescence; and 'Same Shit 中 Another One', which sings about Young Posse's unique color that walks a different path from many groups, like a green frog.
'Growing Pain pt.1: FREE' is the new album that Young Posse has presented approximately five months after the release of their special album 'COLD' in March. It addresses the growth pains associated with searching for the true self within the gap between 'the world' and 'me' in a delightful manner unique to Young Posse. Notably, with high participation, Young Posse signals the beginning of a new chapter with an autobiographical story that captures their sincere thoughts and feelings.
