Model Harin (real name Harada Rin), known as a member of 'NewJeans debut team,' clarified misunderstandings that arose after revealing her experience of not debuting.
On the 14th, Harin posted a long message on her YouTube channel community saying, "Hello! This is Harin. The weather is still hot, but looking at the sky makes it seem like autumn is coming. My Korean writing is not perfect, and I'm writing this in Japanese to avoid misunderstandings that might arise from using a translator, so please understand."
She noted, "Suddenly receiving a lot of attention makes me grateful, but at the same time, a bit worried these days," adding, "The contents I mentioned in the interview were my very personal feelings of frustration and disappointment from the past, and I hope you understand that they are not criticisms or revelations about any specific company or individual."
She continued, "It was definitely a tough time for me, but on the other hand, it was also a grateful opportunity and time that made me stronger. I am still cheering for the members I laughed and cried with during that time," and added, "I will work harder to show a better side of myself in the future."
Previously, Harin appeared on a YouTube channel run by Japanese actor Takeda Hiromitsu on the 12th of last month, mentioning her time as a trainee idol. At that time, she confessed, "I had to give up my dream of becoming an idol due to a sudden decision from the company just before my debut, and one day I suddenly received a notice to terminate my contract, which was only directed at me," catching attention.
Harin, originally from the Japanese idol group 'Shibu 3 Project,' started her trainee life in Korea after passing the HYBE LABELS So So Music audition in 2020. She then transferred to ADOR under HYBE and joined the 'NewJeans' debut team, undergoing rigorous training with the other members. At that time, she was considered a member with a high possibility of debuting as she quickly improved in choreography, vocals, and Korean language skills.
