After the late Aizone's Lee Min passed away, those left behind are comforting each other and enduring their sorrow.
Crystal shared on her Instagram after attending Lee Min's funeral on the 10th, "These past few days have been the most overwhelming times of my life. After saying goodbye to my partner, best friend, and my other half Min, who was always by my side when I sang, I feel like a piece of my heart has fallen off. That emptiness will never be filled. When I think of Min, I think of Crystal; we were always a pair. Having lived together for more than half of our lives, breathing, eating, laughing, and crying, sharing a true life, my other half."
He continued, "It's so hard that even discussing it is difficult. However, thanks to the love and comfort you've sent, I've realized that this sorrow is not mine alone. I've come to know again that many of you who cherished and loved Min share the same feelings as I do," and added, "For the past 26 years, I spent time remembering the precious people who shared our lives, including Min. Amid painful memories, warm moments arose, and because of those I met again, I was able to smile, even if just for a moment."
Lee Min and Crystal debuted in 1999 with Aizone's first album 'Day By Day' and released numerous hit songs such as 'I Want You and I Hate You,' 'Please Don't Know,' 'Not at All,' 'Love+,' and 'Mr. Ajo.' They became legends of Korean R&B female duos and received widespread love from music fans. Lee Min was found dead at her home in Seoul on the evening of the 5th, at the age of 46. It is reported that her husband discovered her after coming home from work. According to the family's wishes, the funeral was held quietly, and the burial took place on the morning of the 9th.
In particular, Aizone's agency Brand New Music expressed, "All employees of the agency and the family are deeply shocked and saddened by the unexpected sad news. We offer our condolences to the deceased," and paused their official social media operations for a while to convey deep mourning. After receiving the sudden and tragic news, they postponed the digital music release schedule set for the 7th to honor Lee Min.
In response, Crystal conveyed her gratitude to Brand New Music and its CEO, Rhymer, saying, "Thank you for always being by our side for over 20 years, for loving Min as much as I do, and for helping her final journey to be beautiful. I truly appreciate you for creating breathing space for me to endure this time."
Rhymer also posted a message on his personal Instagram saying, "You did well, Crystal. I will always be by your side. Don't worry. I love you," along with a photo of himself smiling warmly with Crystal. This moment conveys the camaraderie felt among those holding onto each other and enduring after Lee Min's departure. Those left behind are still comforting each other and enduring each day amidst that absence.
