The popularity of KATSEYE, the global girl group from HYBE and Geffen Records, shows no signs of cooling down.
According to the latest U.S. Billboard chart released on 12th (local time) (as of Aug. 16), KATSEYE's second EP 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' debuted at No. 69 on the main album chart 'Billboard 200.' Since its first entry at No. 4 on July 12, it has been ranked for six consecutive weeks. 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' also secured positions of No. 17 and No. 15 on the 'Top Album Sales' and 'Top Current Album Sales' charts, respectively.
On the Billboard Global Songs chart, the rise of the album's tracks continues. 'Gabriela' ranked No. 44 on the 'Global 200' and No. 33 on the 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' this week, marking its success in charting for seven consecutive weeks. It rose by eight and seven spots, respectively, compared to the previous week. 'Gnarly' climbed to No. 93 and No. 103 on both charts, jumping 11 and 13 spots from the prior week and maintaining its status as a 'chart staple' for 14 weeks.
The stage at 'Lollapalooza Chicago,' held in the U.S. on 3rd, reignited their fiery popularity. KATSEYE, who performed at the largest festival in the U.S. just over a year after their debut, captivated tens of thousands of attendees with their intense performance, and the footage from this stage quickly spread on social media, driving a reverse chart climb.
In fact, KATSEYE's streaming of 'Gabriela' peaked on the world's largest music platform, Spotify. The daily streaming count for the song, which was 2.22 million on the day of the 'Lollapalooza Chicago' performance, recently increased to 2.68 million. During the same period, 'Gnarly' streamed between 1.47 million and around 1.7 million times daily, reflecting an approximate 20% increase for both songs.
Not only the new songs but also the tracks from previous albums are being consistently loved. The double title track 'Touch' from KATSEYE's debut album 'SIS (Soft Is Strong),' released in July last year, has surpassed 400 million cumulative streams on Spotify as of 9th. Including 'Touch,' KATSEYE has a total of four songs with over 100 million streams on Spotify, such as 'Gabriela,' 'Gnarly,' and 'Debut.'
KATSEYE is set to deliver another overwhelming performance at 'Summer Sonic 2025' and 'Summer Sonic Extra,' held in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan, from 16th to 18th.
