DAY6 surprised fans by unveiling an unreleased song, "Dream Bus."
On Aug. 4, DAY6 posted a video titled "DAY6 10th Anniversary Announcement: The DECADE of us" on their official social media channel, introducing their 10th anniversary project. Starting from the 9th, they are presenting visual artwork that showcases the history of the group's music as part of this project.
The visual artwork begins with the debut song "Congratulations," followed by "You were beautiful," "My Day," "Happy Days," "Beautiful Feeling," "So that it can become a page," "Welcome to the Show," "Melting," and "HAPPY," expressing the narrative of each song and illustrating DAY6's 10-year musical journey with images. This evoked the experience of an online listening session to enjoy the diverse music spectrum, including some audio tracks.
At 9:07 p.m. on the 12th, the final chapter of the visual artwork, the unreleased song "Dream Bus," was opened. The message, "An ongoing dream, a bus of dreams that never stops; 10 years is just a single stop on a much longer journey. Today we still move forward without stopping," combined with a cake image layered with various objects such as a keyboard, a pick, and drumsticks, evoked strong emotions. Over a bright sound, the refreshing vocals sang the lyrics, "Are you looking for your dream? Or have you given up on it?" raising expectations for the complete song.
DAY6 will announce their fourth studio album, "The DECADE," on Sept. 5 and will make a comeback. This is their first regular album since their third studio album, "The Book of Us: Entropy," released in October 2019, making it approximately 5 years and 11 months since their last release. Ahead of the album's release, they will kick off their 10th anniversary tour, "DAY6 10th Anniversary Tour < The DECADE >," on Aug. 30-31 at the Goyang Gymnasium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The concert at Goyang Gymnasium marks the first solo entry for a domestic band and has recorded sold-out tickets for all performances, proving its overwhelming ticket power.
Meanwhile, DAY6's fourth studio album, "The DECADE," will be available for listening on various music sites at 6 p.m. on Sept. 5.
