Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie (50) is reportedly preparing for an overseas relocation after organizing her life in Los Angeles, California.
On the 10th (local time), U.S. entertainment media Page Six reported, "Jolie plans to sell her historic Cecil B. DeMille mansion located in Los Feliz, LA."
Jolie previously purchased the mansion in 2017 for approximately $24.5 million (about 340 million won). Built in 1913, the mansion spans 310 pyeong and features 6 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, 4 fireplaces, a wine cellar, and other luxurious facilities. It is known to be the place where the Hollywood master director DeMille lived for nearly 40 years until his death in 1959.
According to reports, a source noted, "Jolie has never wanted to live only in LA," adding, "She had to stay in LA due to custody issues with her ex-husband Brad Pitt."
The source continued, "The youngest twins, Knox (17) and Vivienne (17), are planning to relocate overseas as soon as they turn 18 next year," stating, "Jolie will be very happy once she leaves LA."
Jolie and Pitt have six children together. The two met in 2003 on the set of the film 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' and developed a romantic relationship. They later registered their marriage in 2014, but have been embroiled in divorce proceedings since 2016, two years later. At that time, Jolie claimed that Pitt had abused her and their children. Their divorce proceedings concluded last December after eight years.
Post-divorce, the children are reportedly living with Jolie and are not in contact with their father, Pitt. Once the twins turn 18 and become adults, they will become free from the custody issues with Pitt, and Jolie is expected to leave LA around this time.
