'Polaris' tells the story of 'Moon-joo' (Jeon Ji-hyun), who has built an international reputation as a UN ambassador, as she pursues the culprits behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate, alongside a nationality-less special agent 'San-ho' (Gang Dong-won) who must protect her, confronting a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula.
