Actress Moon Ga-young has been selected as the sole MC for Mnet's global band making survival show 'STEAL HEART CLUB'. Following her diverse activities across drama, entertainment, and cultural programs, she is embarking on a new challenge as her first music program host after debut.
Mnet's 'STEAL HEART CLUB' is a project to form a 'global iconic band' that captures the romance of youth, raw emotions, and instincts on stage. Participants gathered from band positions such as drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, and vocal will engage in survival to become the 'final headliner band,' using their music, emotions, and passionate youth as their weapons. The project encapsulates the formation of a next-generation global band with not only captivating star quality but also sincerity toward music.
Moon Ga-young is expected to serve as the 'first audience' closely observing their passionate journey and as a narrator guiding the emotional storyline. The production team noted, 'Moon Ga-young is the ideal person to sincerely convey the participants' narratives with her warm empathy and delicate sensitivity,' and added, 'she will be a band curator who showcases the worldview and youth narratives of this project and introduces the participants' good music.'
This year, Moon Ga-young has shown her 'busy efforts' by actively continuing her activities since the first half. Through the tvN drama 'My Dearest Nemesis' and the recently concluded 'Seocho-dong,' she has traversed between romance comedies and realistic legal dramas, proving her broad acting spectrum by embodying two entirely different characters.
Moon Ga-young's activities will continue in the second half of the year. Along with her role as the sole MC for 'STEAL HEART CLUB,' she will embark on her first Asia fan meeting tour, meeting with overseas fans. Additionally, the release of the film 'If We' is also scheduled, generating excitement for her diverse activities spanning screen, broadcasting, and entertainment.
Mnet's 'STEAL HEART CLUB,' featuring Moon Ga-young as an MC, will premiere in October.
