This broadcast will be a special program commemorating Team Leader Kim Sook's 30th anniversary, looking back on her tumultuous 30-year broadcasting career and her challenging life in Seoul. Kim Sook, who is celebrating her 30th anniversary this year after debuting as a KBS 12th generation public comedian in 1995, reveals, "It has been 30 years since I left Busan," and adds, "Today, I will focus on visiting the houses I have lived in by following the addresses on my resident registration."
This "Kim Sook's tumultuous 30-year visit" features her long-time friends Jang Hae-jin and Joo Woo-jae. The three head to Dangsan-dong, where Kim Sook's third address is located on her resident registration after moving to Seoul. Kim Sook introduces that during her stay in Dangsan-dong in 1999, it was the darkest period of her life. Joo Woo-jae humorously remarks, "At that time, I heard Kim Sook was addicted to two things: one was gaming, and the other was nicotine!"
As Joo Woo-jae brings up Kim Sook's past and forgotten memories, she asks, "Joo Woo-jae, do you like me?" startling him. The coordinators in the studio comment, "The two of them look great together~" adding a scandalous atmosphere.
The childhood home Kim Sook visited has been converted into an office, but its structure remains unchanged. While looking around the office, Kim Sook recalls, "It was the time when I was running four computers in one room. Back then, a day felt like 36 hours. I played games for 24 hours and slept for 12 hours," surprising everyone.
Jang Hae-jin reveals, "During Kim Sook's dark period in 1999, I also stopped acting and went down to Busan." He recalls hitting rock bottom in his self-esteem after failing auditions. He shares, "I went down to Busan and sold cosmetics at a local mart. I did so well that I was scouted by a big supermarket. I sold products so well there that I got scouted again by a department store."
Additionally, while working at a department store in Busan, he mentions receiving a call from director Bong Joon-ho regarding the film "Memories of Murder" that was in preparation, but he declined, which leaves everyone feeling regretful. Jang Hae-jin then reveals behind-the-scenes stories about the casting for the film "Parasite," drawing attention.
The special program for Kim Sook's 30th anniversary! "30 years of tumultuous broadcasting life" will be broadcast on the 14th, Thursday night at 10 p.m. on MBC's "homes for you!"
