'Gen Z美' group KiiiKiii's Kiya captivated listeners with her versatile charm.
On the 12th, Kiya appeared on the content 'Limousine Service' from the YouTube channel 'KBS Kpop,' showcasing not only her outstanding live performance but also her bold appeal. Kiya reinterpreted KiiiKiii's new song 'DANCING ALONE,' released on the 6th, with her own sensitivity, creating a new atmosphere for 'DANCING ALONE' with an attractive bass voice and opening with a strong start.
Kiya, who greeted singer Lee Mujin, who was in charge of hosting, noted, "Since before my debut, I had always talked about 'Limousine Service' as the content I wanted to be part of after my debut," and added, "I wanted to showcase the tone of my voice through various songs."
When Lee Mujin asked about KiiiKiii's new song 'DANCING ALONE,' Kiya answered, "It's freedom itself. It's a song that captures an unembellished look, like my debut song 'I DO ME,' so you can expect it," and added a clear explanation that "It will be a song that evokes nostalgia for the memories each of us has," prompting praise from Lee Mujin.
In her intense live performance, Kiya presented 2NE1's 'Come Back Home.' She explained, "I sang it briefly on the radio at the beginning of my debut, and since the Tiki (official fan club name) loved it so much, I chose it," showcasing her impactful vocals and flawlessly executing a hip mood rap, earning applause from the audience.
Kiya said, "Due to the nature of the group, we often perform bright and exciting songs, but I wanted to take the opportunity to sing calmly and compellingly," presenting Lady Gaga's 'Million Reasons.' Kiya demonstrated stable vocal skills without wavering even in high notes, revealing deep emotional lines and creating a unique atmosphere that delighted fans.
On the other hand, Kiya, who mentioned being shocked by Lee Mujin's 'Task (I'm Sorry Professor),' said she had sung it while practicing to convey emotions alone, and showcased it with a unique emotional tone and outstanding expressiveness, perfectly delivering it and impressing Lee Mujin.
Kiya stated her reason for wanting to become a singer, saying, "I wanted to be someone who brings happiness or comfort to others, but at some point, I found myself receiving comfort from music. So it seems that I naturally got into music." She further shared her goal for this activity, saying, "I hope my songs can evoke memories for those listening, and I wish for it to be an activity that provides healing."
At the end of the video, Kiya expressed her affection, saying, "Since 'Limousine Service' was on my bucket list, I achieved one of my bucket list items today. My fellow members also seemed proud of it," and concluded her appearance on 'Limousine Service' by singing 'Why So Lonely' by Lee Mujin and Wonder Girls, showcasing her wide vocal range by effortlessly transitioning between low and high notes.
Meanwhile, KiiiKiii, of which Kiya is a member, released their first digital single album 'DANCING ALONE' on the 6th and is continuing various activities.
