Zzanbro's Kangnam revealed his father's reaction when he informed him about his naturalization.
On the afternoon of the 11th, the couple Lee Sang-hwa and Kangnam appeared on the Zzanbro channel and showcased their wit.
Earlier, Kangnam married former national speed skating representative Lee Sang-hwa in October 2019 and naturalized from Japanese to Korean.
Kangnam was born to a Korean mother and a Japanese father, and Shin Dong-yup asked, "What was your father's reaction when you said you were going to naturalize as a Korean?"
Kangnam confessed, "To be honest, my dad cried a bit." Shin Dong-yup also noted, "I can understand that as a father."
Kangnam recalled, "I couldn't honestly talk to my dad all the way through, but I told him that I love Sang-hwa very much, that I want to be with her for life, and that I want to marry her. I thought, 'I guess I should naturalize at this point.' Since I have received so much love in Korea through my entertainment activities, I felt I should repay that by naturalizing."
He continued, "At that time, my dad said, 'Hey! That's a good idea. Naturalizing is the right thing to do.' I started studying from then on, and I am grateful to my dad. This is the first time I'm mentioning it, but my dad had gallbladder surgery, and thanks to Sang-hwa, he recovered. If it weren't for Sang-hwa, it would have been a big problem. I'm grateful to both my dad and Sang-hwa."
