New actor Morgan Hu will appear as Choi Byeong-tae in the TVING short original drama "Shut Up, You're the Villain of My Work" (directed by Jeong Jong-hoon, written by Jeong Hee-yoon).
"Shut Up, You're the Villain of My Work" is a suspense revenge drama that begins when top domestic drama writer Kang Seoyon (played by Park Yu-na) casts her life-destroying perpetrator Yu Hye-ji (played by Park Hae-in) as the lead in her next project "The Time of Falling," while living with the trauma of school violence she experienced 15 years ago. The story unfolds with tense developments as events from the past involving popular actress Yu Hye-ji, student council president Kwak Jun-sung (played by Seong Yi-eon), and aspiring director Choi Byeong-tae (played by Morgan Hu) connect to the present.
In the drama, the character Choi Byeong-tae, portrayed by Morgan Hu, is one of the perpetrators who bullied Kang Seoyon during their school days, serving as a key figure that connects the past and present and creates a critical turning point in Seoyon's revenge narrative.
This work is a total of 50 episodes in a short-form series, which was exclusively released on the TVING mobile app on Aug. 4, 2025. With a short but intense storyline and weighty emotional threads, it aims to draw viewers' immersion.
Production is handled by Supercliche. Formerly known as PROJECT NMF, Supercliche unveils its first launch project as a TVING short original, signaling an expansion into mid-form dramas based on short-form IP.
Morgan Hu noted, "I felt pressure taking on a strong character in my first work, but I wanted to contribute to enhancing the work's immersion," and added, "I will show my growth through various works in the future."
