"Jazz Trio" Yun Seok Cheol Trio is stepping onto major domestic and international stages, spreading the charm of K-jazz.
Yun Seok Cheol Trio (Yun Seok Cheol, Jeong Sang I, Kim Young Jin) will perform in succession at "Yun Seok Cheol Trio Live in Tokyo 2025" on Sept. 10 and "K-MUSIC Festival in Osaka 多多感" on Sept. 13.
First, Yun Seok Cheol Trio will return to the Blue Note Tokyo, recognized as a global jazz landmark, for the second consecutive year through "Yun Seok Cheol Trio Live in Tokyo 2025." Japanese artist Toki Asako is expected to join as a special guest for this performance. The combination of unique sounds and floating vocals is anticipated to create a beautiful ensemble.
"K-MUSIC Festival in Osaka 多多感" is a genre-defying music festival held in Osaka to commemorate the 60th anniversary of normalizing diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan. Emerging artists leading the current of Korean music across jazz, rock, hip-hop, and electronic genres are expected to perform on stage, offering audiences fresh sounds.
Moreover, Yun Seok Cheol Trio will hold a joint concert titled "Yun Seok Cheol Trio & H ZETTRIO in SEOUL" at Club Evans in Seoul on Sept. 25. This concert features Yun Seok Cheol Trio, which is rewriting the flow of Korean jazz, alongside the upbeat performances and notable playing of the Japanese piano trio H ZETTRIO. Yun Seok Cheol Trio will present audiences with a delicate musical experience through rich jazz melodies filled with messages of hope.
In this way, Yun Seok Cheol Trio is spreading the charm of "K-jazz," which combines modern elements with the roots of classic jazz, on stages both domestically and internationally. They are demonstrating the potential for Korean jazz music to expand internationally while firmly establishing a unique musical world. This year, Yun Seok Cheol Trio is participating in Asia's largest jazz festival, the Java Jazz Festival, and Korea's representative jazz festival, the Seoul Jazz Festival 2025, continuing their dynamic activities as a leading jazz artist in Korea.
