Former EXO member Tao (real name Huang Zitao) will marry SM Entertainment trainee and singer-actress Shiyang in October.
According to local media such as Sina Entertainment on the 12th, Tao recently revealed during a variety show recording that he "plans to marry Shiyang in October this year." The couple is preparing for a grand wedding. It is reported that they are discussing the guest list, seating for fans, and the live broadcast of the wedding.
Additionally, there is growing interest in whether members of the group EXO, in which Tao previously participated, will attend the wedding.
Tao and Shiyang have been embroiled in dating rumors since 2020, but both sides remained unresponsive until they officially acknowledged their relationship in July of last year after four years.
In December of last year, they reported news of their marriage registration. At that time, Tao posted a photo holding a marriage certificate with the caption "goal achieved" on social media, announcing their marriage. The couple was also involved in pre-marital pregnancy rumors, but both sides did not comment on this.
Tao debuted as a member of SM's EXO-M in 2012, and after leaving the team in 2015, he continued his activities in China. Shiyang, also a former SM trainee, is currently active as an actress and singer in China.
Recently, Tao became enraged by a scandal involving the "sale of repackaged used sanitary pads" that erupted in China and has ventured directly into the sanitary pad business. The brand received explosive responses right after its launch, selling about 450,000 boxes in just 30 minutes, recording sales of $3 million (about 4.1 billion won). Tao noted that it was "a venture started out of responsibility for women" and expressed his desire to be recognized as a true entrepreneur beyond being just a celebrity.
