In MBNS's new Wednesday-Thursday mini-series 'First Lady,' Yoo-jin finds herself in a divorce crisis as her husband Ji Hyun-woo is elected president.
The new Wednesday-Thursday mini-series 'First Lady' on MBN, which will first air at 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 24, features a story unfolding amidst an unprecedented event where the husband, who has been elected president, demands a divorce from his wife who is to become the First Lady. The narrative captures the suffocating conflict between the presidential couple during the 67 days leading up to the president's inauguration, speedily depicting political conspiracies and family secrets.
'First Lady' is written by Kim Hyung-wan, who has shown tight construction and immersive developments in dramas like 'Dream High 2', 'Hide Your Identity', and the movie 'Superstar Gam Sa-Young,' after a remarkable six-year preparation period, amplifying expectations. In addition, a strong lineup of 'actor-power actors,' including Yoo-jin, Ji Hyun-woo, Kim Ki-bang, Han Soo-ah, Shin So-yul, and Oh Seung-eun, gathers to herald the birth of a different kind of drama.
In this context, the teaser poster for 'First Lady' featuring Yoo-jin, Ji Hyun-woo, and Kim Lee-young heightens tension by hinting at a stormy prelude where deadly love and betrayal intertwine with power. The eyes of Yoo-jin, Ji Hyun-woo, and Kim Lee-young, directed towards different places in the lavish party, create an unusual atmosphere.
First, Yoo-jin becomes the First Lady she dreamed of, but she is thrown into chaos as her husband Hyun Min-cheol (Ji Hyun-woo) demands a divorce upon his election. Cha Soo-yeon reveals a dazzling and radiant appearance, wearing a captivating pink sequined dress while holding a champagne glass and smiling like a First Lady, yet an aura of anxiety hovers over her, drawing attention.
Ji Hyun-woo exudes the imposing demeanor of Hyun Min-cheol, the husband of Cha Soo-yeon and the president-elect, perfectly suited in a sharp suit. At a party lit by sparkling chandelier lights, Hyun Min-cheol appears to be a perfect couple with Cha Soo-yeon, but his cold, icy gaze cast in her direction raises curiosity.
Lee Mi-young, who plays the role of Shin Hae-rin, the closest secretary to President Hyun Min-cheol, shines a sharp gaze, heightening curiosity as she is aware of Cha Soo-yeon and Hyun Min-cheol standing behind her. Her inscrutable demeanor reveals a mystery that leads to a catastrophic situation of hidden secrets and conspiracies. Particularly, the central teaser poster features an ironic phrase that states, 'In the moment that should be the happiest, the greatest misfortune has arrived,' increasing anticipation for the shocking narrative involving Yoo-jin, Ji Hyun-woo, and Kim Lee-young.
The production team remarked, 'In the teaser poster, we aimed to convey the intertwined feelings of power, love, and betrayal involving Cha Soo-yeon, Hyun Min-cheol, and Shin Hae-rin.' They added, 'The subtle tension between the three characters and the emotional confrontation foreshadows the tumultuous events within 'First Lady.' We hope for much anticipation.'
