Ahead of her new song release, Nam Gyu-ri has revealed her true feelings that she couldn't express before and is receiving enthusiastic support from fans.
Nam Gyu-ri recently unveiled a special documentary titled "Finally Speaking the Truth, Confess Through Song | Still Love You from SeeYa" on her YouTube channel "Gyu-mong."
In the video description, Nam Gyu-ri said, "There were times when I thought that saying nothing was the best option, but it also led to unintended misunderstandings." She confessed, "Rather than suffering alone and festering, I think more lately that it's okay to be a little more honest with you who understand and support me."
After the video release, fans responded enthusiastically with heartfelt messages, saying, "I can't even dare to imagine how hard it must have been for you, but I thank you for expressing that truth through song now," "I love our Gyu, who has become more solid, even if less shiny," "I hope SeeYa will definitely come back together," and "I'll be waiting while enjoying Gyu-mong."
In the documentary, Nam Gyu-ri reminisced about her time with SeeYa, stating, "If a day comes when we can reunite, I want to create music that is our own. I'm quietly waiting for that day even now." She also reflected on her experience during the show "Sugar Man 3" aired five years ago, saying, "I felt the love and trust of fans who waited without any conditions, and I cried a lot out of remorse for having made you wait so long."
Regarding her departure from SeeYa and her subsequent solo career, Nam Gyu-ri recalled, "It was a time where freedom and fear coexisted." Recently, she opened her YouTube channel "Gyu-mong" to share her daily life and is spending time taking care of herself for the first time.
The 2025 project album "Memories," which began this year, is a series where Nam Gyu-ri expresses the emotions and moments she has experienced as an artist in various genres. She released a remake of the song "Heartache" as the first track in May, and on the 17th, she will present her second digital single "Still Love You."
With this new song, Nam Gyu-ri not only aimed for a visual transformation but also attempted a musical change. She is determined to showcase a different charm through arrangements centered around band sounds, stepping beyond the existing emotional ballads.
