Musical actor Jeon Ho-jun, who was embroiled in allegations of assault against his ex-girlfriend, has reported that he is undergoing legal procedures.
On the 11th, Jeon Ho-jun posted on his social account and returned to social media. Previously, he had suspended his social media activities for over two months after being caught in allegations of assault following the spread of his ex-girlfriend A's revelations.
In this context, Jeon Ho-jun explained, "Currently, that incident is undergoing legal procedures. If there is a part I was wrong about, I will definitely take responsibility for it. However, I also have to live my life, so I cautiously return to this place again.
He also noted, "I want to thank those who have believed in and supported me once again. I will live diligently and sincerely."
In May, A posted on online communities and social media that she was Jeon Ho-jun's ex-girlfriend with whom he had dated for about a year and that she had been assaulted by him, resulting in a three-week injury. Furthermore, she stated, "I supported everything from coffee to performances while he was acting, and I paid for all the dating expenses. I was extorted by around 10 million won in items such as mobile phones, designer scarves, and necklaces under the pretense of marriage. Later, I paid for a trip to Thailand, including airfare and accommodation, with a total cost of about 5 million won. I was also infected with herpes and contracted sexually transmitted diseases. I provided 1 million won monthly in cash for Pilates to help with issues related to pregnancy and miscarriage."
Along with this, A posted photos of physical contact with Jeon Ho-jun, bruised body parts, and videos that appeared to show the assault, adding credibility to her claims. To this, Jeon Ho-jun countered that "the assault situation A describes occurred while I was trying to stop A from unlawfully entering my home in the early morning," claiming that it constituted self-defense. He also revealed photos of himself bleeding, stating that he had also been assaulted by A.
He later explained in an additional post, "I never assaulted A. There was a physical altercation between A and me in the early morning of the 24th. The situation was urgent enough that I was bleeding, as shown in the previously posted photos, so in order to prevent the situation from worsening, I held A to prevent her from moving. The contact between my body and A's body was entirely that," reiterating that "the traces of assault in A's photos were not caused by me."
Due to the controversy, Jeon Ho-jun voluntarily withdrew from the upcoming play "The Tonight Show," which was scheduled to be performed starting in July. He stated, "I could not even imagine that our affair would become a matter of public attention. In this situation, it is truly not easy for me to focus 100% of my body and mind on the performance." He conveyed to the troupes that cast him that he intended to withdraw from all the performances he had been preparing for, seeking their understanding. "For the time being, I will take time to gather my thoughts and tidy up my surroundings," he expressed his intention to halt activities.
