Singer MJ (Sunny Side) and Ji-hwan (Soon Soon Hee) reinterpret 'I Love You.'
MJ (Sunny Side) and Ji-hwan (Soon Soon Hee) will release the remake track 'I Love You (feat. Mew)' on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 17th.
'I Love You' is based on the original title track from the debut album of Namolla Family, released in 2007. At that time, this song swept various music charts, including the Cyworld BGM chart, and continues to be loved by listeners to this day.
Reborn after 18 years through the voices of MJ (Sunny Side) and Ji-hwan (Soon Soon Hee), 'I Love You' maintains the strengths of the original while adding new arrangements to present another point of enjoyment. Notably, MJ (Sunny Side) took charge of the production, enhancing the overall quality. He reinterpreted the original's introductory and killing part, with the line "so that the sound of my confession can be heard by you," arranging the lyrics that align with that section.
Additionally, the main vocalist Ji-hwan of the talented vocal group Soon Soon Hee adds emotional depth with his sweet tone. Featuring artist Mew, a female vocalist with a clear voice, is expected to inject freshness into the track.
Meanwhile, MJ (Sunny Side) is actively engaged in music as a rapper and producer. He oversaw the production of the mega hit 'Drunken Confession,' sung by Kim Min-seok, and crafted rap parts for the remake tracks 'Currency Connection Tone' and 'Let's Have a Drink,' both of which charted, proving his musical capabilities.
Ji-hwan (Soon Soon Hee) continues to maintain long-lasting popularity on various music charts with the release of 'Sad Invitation' in 2023. The attention is drawn to how 'I Love You,' powered by Mew, who has gained affection through songs like 'Ddan Ddan Tta Dan,' 'In Jongno,' and 'Underwater Breakup,' will take over listeners' playlists.
