Jung Sung-il spoke about his chemistry with Jo Yeo-jeong.
On the 12th, a production briefing for the film 'Murderer Report' was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul. The event was attended by actors Jo Yeo-jeong, Jung Sung-il, and director Jo Young-jun.
The film 'Murderer Report' (Director Jo Young-jun, provided by A2Z Entertainment and Sony Pictures International Production, produced by With A Studio, MIKAN Studio, and Pluto Story Group, distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment Korea and A2Z Entertainment) tells the story of veteran journalist Seon-joo (Jo Yeo-jeong), who is thirsty for exclusives, receiving a request for an interview from psychiatrist Yeong-hoon (Jung Sung-il), who confesses to a series of murders.
On this day, Jung Sung-il, who plays the role of psychiatrist and serial killer Lee Yeong-hoon, caught attention by speaking about his chemistry with Jo Yeo-jeong.
He recalled, "I first met Jo Yeo-jeong during the transfer of '99 Billion Women.' At that time, she was sweeping all the awards with 'Parasite.' When I first met her on set, she welcomed me as if she was meeting an old friend. We started talking about acting right away, and I was really grateful for that. It was very fresh. So, I really trusted and looked forward to it back then."
He continued, "I was also relieved to hear that we will be working together again this time. As expected, we talked a lot before and during the filming. I actually received a lot of help."
In particular, he jokingly said, "Seeing the recent success of 'My Daughter is a Zombie,' I thought that I made a good choice working together." He added, "I can't discuss acting skills, but beyond that, the attitude on set and how one interacts with others. I really called her 'Teacher Jo' on set," causing laughter.
