Chef Lim Yoona's sweet and savage palace survival story from the future is generating excitement.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty' (directed by Jang Tae-yu, written by fGRD, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Film Gorilla, Jeong Universe), which will first air on Aug. 23 (Saturday), has released its main trailer, previewing the chaotic palace life of chef Yeon Ji-young (played by Lim Yoona), who has fallen into the dining hall of the tyrant Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min).
The released video opens with an unpredictable accident (?) that occurs to chef Yeon Ji-young, who proudly won a French cooking competition. Having not only fallen into a strange place but also being chased by a king aiming an arrow, Yeon Ji-young ultimately ends up having to kick a noose like a criminal, hinting that unusual events are unfolding.
In response, Yeon Ji-young reveals to the king Lee Heon, who treats her like a ghost, that she is a chef, saying, "I don't know how to return anyway, so it's all or nothing," confidently showcasing her cooking skills. Lee Heon, who initially looked baffled by Yeon Ji-young's dishes like steak and pasta that he had never seen before, is taken by the mysterious flavors and, putting aside his royal decorum, eagerly devours the food, evoking laughter.
Amid the enthusiastic reaction of Lee Heon, who is thoroughly enchanted by the food, Yeon Ji-young's shoulders also lift high. However, factions that look unfavorably upon her appear, drawing attention. One of them is the king's concubine, Kang Mok-joo (played by Kang Han-na), who sends sharp glances toward Yeon Ji-young, who has captured the king's interest.
Nevertheless, Yeon Ji-young is not only unafraid to speak her mind to Lee Heon, but also responds nonchalantly, stating, "I'm not in a relationship with His Majesty, but rather we're just flirting," further igniting Kang Mok-joo's jealousy. The serious expression of Kang Mok-joo, who declares, "I won't let this slide today," juxtaposed with Yeon Ji-young being tied to a frame, captures attention as viewers wonder what will happen to her.
Tired of the precarious palace life, Yeon Ji-young ultimately begins to earnestly wish to return to her original world, saying, "I want to go back." Attention is focused on whether Yeon Ji-young can survive the pressures of the tyrant Lee Heon and concubine Kang Mok-joo and return to her time.
'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty' is creating curiosity through its main trailer, showcasing the sweet and savage survival of a chef from the future and a tyrant with an absolute palate. Anticipation is building for the premiere of 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty' as it unfolds a dizzying romance between Yeon Ji-young, a ghostly chef whose fusion dishes can captivate the tongue and heart of the tyrant Lee Heon, who also shares tastes and feelings through food.
