Actor Song Seung-heon expressed confidence that it will surpass 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo.'
On the afternoon of the 12th, a production presentation for the Genie TV original drama 'My Troublesome Star' was held at The Saint Wedding in Guro District, Seoul. Director Choi Young-hoon, Jeon Jung-hwa, Song Seung-heon, Lee El, and Oh Dae-hwan attended the event to share their thoughts.
'My Troublesome Star' is a heartfelt romantic comedy that unfolds as Korea's top star transforms overnight into an ordinary middle-aged woman.
Returning to romantic comedies after a long break, Song Seung-heon expressed his feelings, saying, "It was an honor to work on such an interesting project with senior Jeon Jung-hwa, and the entire filming process was a joyful experience. The script itself was so entertaining that we enjoyed filming it, and there's a bit of excitement among us. We think it might become the biggest hit since ENA was established, which makes me feel a little worried that it will really turn out that way."
In particular, he was reunited with Jeon Jung-hwa for the first time in 10 years since 'Miss Wife.' Jeon said, "While taking couple photos, Seung-heon mentioned that it had been 10 years. I was so happy and enjoyed that I could meet Actor Song again through this drama. It was lovely and impressive to see him wanting to let loose more."
Song Seung-heon remarked, "Time passes too quickly. It feels like just yesterday we filmed 'Miss Wife' and released it. While taking photos, those feelings came back to me. It seems like just yesterday, but I remarked it had been 10 years. Back then, it was a 2-hour movie with a single set episode. This time it's a 12-episode series, and there were so many events and twists during filming that it felt like the end came when we were finally in sync with each other. I was a bit sad, but we had so much fun filming after experiencing various events and twists."
He added, "If all the emotions we felt can be fully conveyed to the viewers and audience, I have a strong feeling that it will become ENA's biggest hit, surpassing 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo,' and I'm looking forward to it."
Meanwhile, 'My Troublesome Star' will air on ENA every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m., starting on the 18th.
