G-Dragon held his solo concert 'Webermensch' at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong from the 8th to the 10th. This concert marked G-Dragon's first in 8 years. As a result, the concert was sold out, with ticket scalping reaching as high as 20 million won, reflecting the local fans' interest.
The released video captures the moment G-Dragon was singing his solo song 'Butterfly.' At this moment, some fans in the audience raised an LED placard that read, "Bring Seungri."
While continuing his performance by looking at the audience, G-Dragon immediately erased his smile and turned his head to avoid eye contact upon seeing the placard. However, it was reported that another part of the audience had also produced an LED placard reading "GD♥SR," which stands for the initials of G-Dragon and Seungri.
LED placards are cheering tools using lighting and are prohibited items at Hong Kong venues. Consequently, G-Dragon's fans criticized the actions of overseas fans searching for Seungri, who was dishonorably expelled from Big Bang and violated concert regulations.
Seungri was identified as a key figure in the 'Burning Sun Gate' scandal in 2018.
