On Nov. 11, MBC Dream Center in Goyang City, a press conference was held to mark the 1st anniversary of MBC Every One's 'Hidden Eye'. The conference was attended by Kim Sung-joo, Park Ha-sun, Soyou, Kim Dong-hyun, Kwon Il-yong, Yoo Chang-won, Lee Dae-woo, as well as PD Hwang Seong-kyu and Broadcasting Headquarters Director Kim Gu-san to share stories.
'Hidden Eye' is a crime analysis commentary show that analyzes incidents through various footage such as CCTV, body cams, and black boxes. Over the past year, it has consistently received praise and has been noted for pioneering a new genre in 'crime prevention programs.'
'Hidden Eye' vividly conveys various crime situations that anyone can experience in daily life, and it has increased viewer engagement through the sharp analysis of 3COPS. The related videos have rapidly spread online, maintaining ongoing topicality.
On that day, when Kwon Il-yong was asked why he agreed to participate, he laughed and said, 'It's not that I readily said I would do it. I was going to decline because Yoo Chang-won was participating.'
Kwon Il-yong stated, 'In fact, I agreed with the PD that one incident cannot be explained from just one perspective. The three of us have different roles and characters, so we have varied perspectives on the incidents. It was an opportunity to look at the incidents holistically and share interpretations based on our respective fields.'
In particular, Kwon Il-yong mentioned the advantages of his co-grants Lee Dae-woo and Yoo Chang-won, saying, 'When we started, the two of them were strangers. It was awkward, and we didn't even use casual language. We were to the point of needing to say, 'Could you ask about that?' during live broadcasts, but now that we share a waiting room, discussions occur, and I believe our viewpoints on incidents are evolving.'
