The 11th anniversary of the late Jeong Ae-ri has passed. The late Jeong Ae-ri suddenly passed away while walking at the Han River Park in Banpo, Seoul, at about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 10, 2014, after slipping. She was 62 years old.
At the time of the accident, Jeong Ae-ri's side said, 'She slipped while walking and was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately passed away.' This sudden news of her death plunged the public and fans into sorrow, leading to a series of condolence messages.
Afterward, the late Jeong Ae-ri's daughter appeared on SBS's entertainment information program 'Night of TV Entertainment' and addressed rumors about her mother's extreme choice, stating, 'There was no such nuance at all. I went to the scene with my mom after making a promise.' She added, 'There is a restaurant where music plays, and it was next to the accident site. It seems she decided to stop there because she liked listening to music.'
The late Jeong Ae-ri debuted in 1971 with the song 'I Can't Help It' and gained much love for her refreshing looks and Western charm.
She later produced hit songs such as 'Get Married, My Dear,' 'Please Teach Me Love,' 'Who Are You,' and 'Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter,' but did not engage in significant activities after releasing albums in the early 1980s. Nevertheless, her music remained in the public's memory.
