The cultural content platform YES24 has experienced another outage on its website two months after a hacking incident.
As of 9 a.m. on the 11th, the YES24 website is inaccessible. It is not only the website that is down, but also the use of e-books and other services is difficult.
In relation to this, it has been reported that YES24 is aware of the situation and is identifying the cause.
Earlier, YES24 faced a similar incident in June. On June 9, it was hit by a ransomware attack that paralyzed its website, app, and other major services. It successfully restored operations after five days and gradually resumed services from the 13th.
The hacking incident at YES24 caused confusion in the entertainment industry at the time. There were numerous damages, including delays in fan club pre-sales and ticket openings for Park Bo-gum, B.I, and ENHYPEN, as well as postponements for fan signing events.
Having experienced a similar situation two months ago, there is increasing concern about this latest website outage, especially with the general ticket sales for DAY6's 10th anniversary concert, 'DAY6 10th Anniversary Tour'
Ticket sales for the DAY6 concert are possible only through YES24. On the 8th, pre-sales were conducted for fan club My Day's 5th term, and general ticket sales will open at 8 p.m. on the 11th.
Prior to that, starting at 10 a.m., wheelchair seating can only be purchased through phone reservations via the YES24 customer center. With the website outage occurring just two hours before ticket sales, concerns are growing about whether the wheelchair seating reservations will proceed normally by contacting the customer center.
Meanwhile, YES24 is an internet specialty shopping mall established in 1999. It is based on an online bookstore and also sells multimedia products such as concert tickets, CDs, and DVDs.
