Singer YUJU returns with blossomed musicality.
YUJU will release her third mini-album 'In Bloom' on the 12th at 6 p.m. through various online music platforms and begin her full-scale activities.
'In Bloom', released approximately 2 years and 5 months after the second mini-album 'O', is an album that encapsulates countless emotions that bloom and fade every day. This album, which is the first presented after YUJU transferred to the company Atheerior led by GroovyRoom, showcases music that highlights her charm with complete quality.
In particular, YUJU plans to show a more expanded musical spectrum through six diverse mood tracks, including the title track 'REPLY', 'ORION', 'The Incident of That Day (Feat. Jeong Se-woon)', 'moonstruck love', 'No Matter (Feat. GEMINI)', and 'Like a sunset caught in the clouds'.
YUJU, who has upgraded her capabilities by being credited on all tracks. YUJU, who will unfold a new musical world with richer emotions, shared her thoughts related to 'In Bloom' ahead of its release.

Q. This is your first solo album in about 2 years and 5 months and your first comeback after transferring to a new agency. What are your feelings?
▷ I feel that this moment is very precious. I am most grateful to the fans who have waited for the new album, and I hope this album fills the empty spaces in their hearts. I have joined the company Atheerior, where the GroovyRoom producers guide me well, and all the staff are stylish and passionate. I am proud that an amazing album has been born.
Q. What is the meaning behind the album title 'In Bloom', and what message do you want to convey through this album?
▷ I have let all emotions bloom without hiding, be it the fragrant emotions blooming like flowers or the emotions that spread uncontrollably from dark and damp places like mold, just like the name 'In Bloom'. I sincerely hope that those who listen to this album can bloom and shed any emotions they have without hating any of the countless emotions that bloom and fade within us every day.
Q. What kind of song is the title track? What are the reasons for selecting it as the title track and its points of appreciation?
▷ The title track 'REPLY' started from the thought, 'If I could write just one line of a letter to someone precious and cherished, what words would I write?' The producer listened to the demo of this song and recommended it directly, and I think it is a song that can well present the emotions and atmosphere I can show now. This song sounds hopeful at first but is actually a poignant and heavy piece where the letter may not reach the person. I hope that emotion is conveyed well.
Q. Is there a track other than the title track that you are particularly attached to? What is the reason?
▷ I think all the songs are very precious and dear, so it seems like I should choose based on the mood of the day. Today, I will choose 'The Incident of That Day'. Like an unexpected accident that hits someone briefly and intensely, love that has vanished without a trace is something I would like to refer to as an 'incident' rather than 'love'. I particularly like the intro and outro lyrics.
Q. Since this is an album you are presenting after a long time, it seems you put a lot of thought into it. What did you focus on while working?
▷ I think it was the message. There are already so many good songs in this world, and numerous new songs are released every day. To keep 'my own thing' without losing it among them, I thought that even if a song has a great atmosphere, my soul must be embedded in it. Only then will I be curious about what comes next, and I believe I will continue to thirst for music. I practiced expressing myself in various ways in terms of singing.
Q. Is there any special episode or memorable moment in the album preparation process, such as during recording or music video filming?
▷ There was a day during the album preparation when I had deep conversations about the lyrics with producer Whi-min of GroovyRoom. At that time, the atmosphere was slightly awkward, but as we talked about the lyrics, I remember laughing and crying at the same time with tears welling up.
There was a scene where I had to act crying during the music video shoot, and I was worried if I could do well. Interestingly, tears flowed to the point of my body trembling, and I was able to get it right in one take. That moment remains in my memory.
Q. What goals do you want to achieve through this activity, or what phrase do you want to hear?
▷ It may be simple, but I sincerely hope this album receives a lot of love. If I had to choose a phrase I want to hear, it would be 'a person who excels at music'.
Q. Lastly, a word for the fans who have been waiting for your comeback.
▷ I feel so grateful that I don't know how to express my gratitude. I want to show a future that fills the void of the past. And I want to become a singer who energizes fans by further developing myself. If I could meet each one personally, I would tell them I love them so very much.
