Jung Eun-hye noted that she has had a harder time since being isolated from society.
On the SBS program "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny" (hereinafter "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2") aired on the 11th, the newlywed life of Down syndrome writer Jung Eun-hye and Jo Young-nam was revealed.
Eun-hye's mother said, "I think we have done everything that could be done educationally. From a large school in the city to a small school in the countryside. Then we went to an alternative school. The decisive reason for her dropping out of school was an event at the alternative school. The parents were all told to come and watch, so we went. Eun-hye was nowhere to be found. When we looked for her, we saw her in a dark classroom moving around."
Her mother added, "Eun-hye was crouched down writing letters on the classroom floor. 'Mom, come quickly,' 'I miss you,' 'Dad, please come soon,' were some of the letters. Through her writing, we could see how hard and lonely Eun-hye was. That's how we ended up giving up on her education."
Her mother said, "The effect of education seems to have given Eun-hye the identity of 'I am a person with a disability.' She became discouraged. She quickly turned 20," and her father added, "As an adult, Eun-hye had nowhere to go. She lived in a cave. Eun-hye's room."
Jung Eun-hye hid in her room, becoming increasingly isolated from society and her condition worsened. Jung Eun-hye explained, "It was really tough back then. I had a phobia of being watched and I experienced schizophrenia. I even talked to the late Kim Kwang-seok."
