Kang Daniel has proven his evolution as a performance artist, announcing the second act of his world tour.
Kang Daniel successfully concluded his solo concert 'ACT: NEW EPISODE' at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul, over two days on the 9th and 10th. This concert serves as an encore for the 'ACT' tour that began last October and is a signal for the upgraded second act ahead of his tours in the United States and South America.
Kang Daniel's sincerity regarding the performance was evident in both scale and quality. He presented a total of 28 songs over 160 minutes without a break. The concert was so complete with light that lighting, lasers, and large LED screens engulfed the venue.
The staging, which utilized mapping to project lasers on stage, provided a higher level of production and spatial awareness. Additionally, the three-dimensional visuals realized through a transparent curtain combined with Kang Daniel's performance blurred the boundary between reality and the virtual, offering a new sense of immersion. Kang Daniel personally held a lightsaber, a treasured possession, to create a climactic moment with light.
The 'firsts' also poured in. Including 'Love Game,' in which he participated in composing for the first time since his debut, all tracks from the new album 'Glow to Haze' received their first live performances, as well as the Korean version of 'MESS' and the Japanese single 'RE8EL' which had their first public unveiling. The repertoire he has meticulously built since his solo debut was also freshly arranged specifically for this performance. Once again, he captivated the audience with a high-quality sound, accompanied by a live band.
Kang Daniel expressed meaningful thoughts, stating, 'Thanks to you, I have created precious memories in a place and stage I truly wanted to visit. I will not stop taking meaningful challenges, and 'ACT' will continue. I sincerely thank you.'
Kang Daniel, who staged a heated performance in Seoul, will not stop his steps. Starting in September, he will embark on a large-scale tour across 12 major cities in the United States, including Washington and New York. This will be followed by a South American tour to Argentina and Brazil. After the previously conducted tours in Asia and Europe, he will complete a world tour that proves Kang Daniel's influence globally.
