'The Lover of Joseon' Kim Tae-won read a handwritten letter written by his American son-in-law for visa issuance.
The TV Chosun entertainment show 'The Lover of Joseon' revealed Kim Tae-won's preparation for a visa interview to attend his daughter's wedding in the U.S.
Kim Tae-won, who is making another attempt for the U.S. visa issuance, met with members of the band Resurrection and said, "I didn't get a visa last year for the U.S. performance, and once you don't get it, it's hard to get it again. If I can't get it this time, it means I can't go to the U.S. forever. So, I consulted with my lawyer to find out what went wrong."
Resurrection's Park Wan-kyu noted, "I went to the U.S. performance last year and saw my daughter Seo-hyun and Devin. As for me, I didn't see my son-in-law at all," adding, "He is the most handsome person among the foreigners I have seen in real life. He seems like a very kind person." Another Resurrection member, Woo Jae, said, "Devin's impression is totally cool; he's like a model. Perfect."
Kim Tae-won laughed, saying, "Seo-hyun said even Americans turn around and look when they see her. I guess my daughter feels a bit burdened because her dad's appearance isn't exceptional."
The responsible PD noted, "Mr. Devin wrote and sent a handwritten letter to the U.S. Embassy for visa issuance. We translated that letter," as he presented it. Kim Tae-won read it and was deeply moved.
