Actor Yoon Kye-sang is set to meet with Han Suk-kyu and Go Doo-shim.
On the 11th, a representative from Yoon Kye-sang's side stated to OSEN, "'Gwaen-dang' is a proposed work. He is currently reviewing the grants for participation."
'Gwaen-dang' is a Jeju dialect meaning a relative. Accordingly, the work is expected to be a noir piece set against the backdrop of Jeju.
To this end, actors Han Suk-kyu and Go Doo-shim have appeared on the cast list to arouse expectations among drama fans. The production team is reported to be discussing Netflix's lineup.
Among them, Yoon Kye-sang has been offered the role of Byeong-nam, the half-brother of the Gwaen-dang boss, Han Suk-kyu. If confirmed, Han Suk-kyu and Yoon Kye-sang will match their breaths as half-brothers.
Yoon Kye-sang, who debuted in 1999 as part of the group g.o.d, transitioned to acting and earned acclaim through films like 'The Outlaws' and dramas like 'The Greatest Love' and 'The Good Wife.' Currently, he is gaining attention for his role as rugby club coach Joo Ga-ram in the SBS drama 'The Winning Try.' It remains to be seen whether Yoon Kye-sang will meet the public through 'Gwaen-dang.'
