The cultural content platform YES24 has once again suffered a ransomware attack after two months.
On the 11th, YES24 posted a notice on its official social media, stating, "Service disruption and apology due to a ransomware attack."
On this day, YES24 revealed, "We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and concerns caused to our customers. At around 4:30 a.m. today, we experienced an external ransomware attack, which led to a situation where service access was not possible."
It continued, "To prepare for any possible risks, we are currently urgently shutting down the system to prevent further damage and are implementing security checks and defensive measures," adding, "We are quickly restoring services using backup data."
Meanwhile, YES24 stated, "We sincerely apologize once again for the inconvenience caused in using our services. We will do our best for a quick recovery."
Meanwhile, YES24 had previously experienced a similar situation in June. On June 9, it was subject to a ransomware hacking, causing its homepage and major services to be completely paralyzed, and it successfully restored services within five days, gradually resuming services from the 13th.
