"My Kid's Private Life" 'Dodo Friends' children became closer through their first friendship trip.
On the 10th, ENA's Sunday entertainment show "My Kid's Private Life" (hereafter "My Life") aired its 33rd episode, featuring the story of the last day of the friendship trip of the five members of 'Dodo Friends' - Yeonwoo, Hayoung, Jaewon, Yeha, and Seoha, along with the story of Doa, the daughter of wrestler Park Jung-woo, in Muan, Jeollanam-do. According to Nielsen Korea, the audience rating for this broadcast recorded 1.6% based on households in the metropolitan area, breaking its own highest rating since returning as a Sunday entertainment show, with a peak rating of 2.6%. The star of the best minute was Doa, who tasted traditional Jeolla-do soybean noodles made by her grandmother in Muan.
On the final day of the friendship trip, the 'Dodo Friends' children visited Hong Kong University, the second-ranked prestigious university in Asia. There, the children enjoyed a tour by directly listening to the study methods and admission preparation processes of Hong Kong University students. They also learned valuable foreign university admission tips from seniors who had come from Korea.
Seeing the children seriously contemplating college, college student siblings asked, "Are you already thinking about college? Isn't it too early to have that on your mind?" Yeonwoo replied, "Dad said there are only 8 years left," and expressed, "I want to go to college in the U.S. if possible." Although she is still young, Yeonwoo's clear goals made this experience beneficial for her and her friends in determining their future direction.
Having enjoyed the food and sights of Hong Kong and also spent some time learning, the 'Dodo Friends' shared their reflections while watching the beautiful night view. At this moment, Jaewon remarked, "We are stars just before we are born, and this is our starting point. Our small decisions will come together to shape everything in the future," delivering a life quote that belied his 11 years, leaving the studio in awe.
Jaewon also humorously noted, "Just as pottery hardens in heat within a kiln, if Hong Kong is the kiln, then friendship is the heat, and we are the pottery," emphasizing that they had become stronger through this trip. It was their first trip without adults, and although there were many trials and hardships, the children grew by overcoming them with the power of friendship, promising to take on new challenges next time as they wrapped up their journey.
Next, the story of 'Gyeongsangdo Girl' who transformed into a stylish bob cut was revealed. Doa headed to the home of 'Nam Friend' Seung-yu in Muan, Jeollanam-do. On their way there, Doa and her father Park Jung-woo focused on learning the Jeolla-do dialect. Doa's ability to seamlessly switch from Gyeongsangdo dialect to Jeolla-do dialect had everyone in the studio laughing.
Waiting for Doa in Muan, Seung-yu shyly greeted her with flowers. The two children encountered a rooster while heading to his grandmother's house. While Doa bravely chased the chicken, Seung-yu felt frightened. Wanting to return the chicken home, Doa eventually lifted the chicken, which was almost as heavy as her own upper body.
Later, Seung-yu's grandmother made bean noodles for the children. Doa, who did not understand the grandmother's dialect when she said, "Go to the kitchen and bring me the scissors," overcame the communication error and successfully ran the errand to eat the bean noodles. The grandmother had added sugar to the bean noodles in Jeolla-do style. Tasting the sugar-added bean noodles for the first time in her life, Doa poured in more sugar while the grandmother stepped away, causing laughter.
Transforming into the cutest farmer in the world, Doa also helped with her grandmother's vegetable garden. Sweating as she worked hard to dig up potatoes, Doa enjoyed the sweetness while drinking the bean water that her grandmother had prepared in advance. While she briefly sulked at Seung-yu, who was slacking off, her mood melted away after hearing his words, "Doa is the prettiest in the world."
As a reward for her efforts, Doa was allowed to take a watermelon. After tapping it to find a delicious one, she tore off the stem with her fingernail to carry it home. However, while trying to carry the heavy watermelon on her head, she dropped it with a loud thud, causing it to break and bringing her to tears. Moments later, the studio erupted in laughter at the sight of Doa burying her nose in the half watermelon, eating without a care.
While contemplating how to carry the halved watermelon, Doa called out her father's name loudly, "Park Jung-woo!" Suddenly, her father appeared like the wind and solved the problem in an instant. After sweating and laughing together all day, Doa and Seung-yu fell into a sound sleep with drowsy expressions. The children's fairy tale-like day brought warmth and healing to the viewers.
