The group AKMU successfully concluded the first week of its standing concert, marking the beginning of a special three-week musical journey.
AKMU held the first three performances of the '2025 AKMU STANDING CONCERT [The Kids]' from the 8th to the 10th at the Myunghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. True to their reputation of upending conventions, AKMU participated in the entire production process, infusing their unique and fresh ideas.
Ahead of the full-fledged performance, excited fans filled the seats as the lively band session began. Amidst the intense beats that shook the concert hall, the audience naturally surrendered their bodies to the rhythm, cheering loudly, while Lee Chan-hyuk took to the stage, dancing and leading the applause to warm up the atmosphere.
As Lee Chan-hyuk opened the show with the title track 'Vivid La La Love', the atmosphere heated up further with the appearance of Lee Soo-hyun. AKMU showcased a parade of hit songs that were arranged with rich instrumental sounds, followed by solo tracks that reflected each member's individuality and some unreleased songs without pause.
In an effort to provide a unique experience, the new musical attempts were also prominent. 'BENCH', which had variations from the existing part arrangement, Lee Soo-hyun's solo 'How Can I Love Until Goodbye, I'm Loving You', and the first live performance of 'Parting' packed the stage with performances that could not be seen anywhere else.
Above all, true to the title [The Kids], it was a scene of exhilaration where everyone present became one with music. The audience jumped on stage to encourage group singing, and the band session and chorus danced along with the AKMU members, creating a performance where no one was limited to a specific role.
Through the standing concert that broke down the boundaries between artists and the audience, AKMU shared an explosive energy like never before, saying, "Thanks to everyone singing and playing together, we gained strength and could become more wonderful kids. Thank you for being with us," and added, "I hope you all had a happy time."
Starting with this first week, AKMU will perform a total of 9 shows on August 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24. With a new costume concept announced each week and changes to some song selections, as well as events for multi-show attendees, the interest and enthusiasm towards AKMU are expected to continue.
