Comedian Cho Sae-ho sparked laughter amid controversy over his departure from '1 Night 2 Days' just a year after joining.
On the evening of the 10th, in the KBS 2TV variety program '1 Night 2 Days Season 4' (abbreviated as 1 Night 2 Days), Kim Jong-min, Cho Sae-ho, Moon Se-yoon, Lee Joon, DinDin, and Yoo Seon-ho began their trip at a theme park located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
That day marked one year since Lee Joon and Cho Sae-ho joined '1 Night 2 Days.' In response, the production team prepared a special feature. When it was mentioned as a "1st anniversary celebration," Moon Se-yoon playfully quipped, "Goodbye Cho Sae-ho," eliciting laughter.
In response to the playful teasing from his comedian friends, Cho Sae-ho naturally replied, "I was happy to be together for a year. I will continue to work hard," bowing in greeting and exclaiming, "No goodbye!" encouraging anticipation for his ongoing activities.
The '1 Night 2 Days' 1st anniversary special prepared by Cho Sae-ho and Lee Joon was titled 'Hoya Jun's Journey.' It was a nickname that Cho Sae-ho personally requested. He mentioned, "I can't disclose everything, but I conducted various interviews for four hours," suggesting that his amount of chatter was significantly longer than Lee Joon's 40 minutes.
He continued by explaining, "Since it's the first anniversary, I thought it would be nice to label it with a celebration feeling. Relatives called me 'Hoya' when I was younger." To this, Yoo Seon-ho added, "I was also called 'Hoya, Hoya.'"
'Journey' was an idea from Moon Se-yoon. During a previous recording, he stated, "Cho Sae-ho and Lee Joon serve as PDs (producing directors), and they go on a trip with a concept they both like. How about 'Journey' instead of 'Tight Budget Journey'?"
Then, Moon Se-yoon asked, "So who will take responsibility if the recording goes wrong?" He added, "The 1st anniversary special could turn into a goodbye special," further adding to the laughter. In response, Cho Sae-ho made a face of grievance and then bowed again in greeting, adding more laughter.
