Anchor Lee Jeong-min made remarks reflecting regret three years after declaring her independence.
On the broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Boss, Your Ears Are Donkey Ears' on the 10th, former anchor Lee Jeong-min appeared as a special MC.
Lee Jeong-min joined KBS as an announcer in 2005 and worked there for 17 years before declaring her independence in 2022. After three years, she appeared on KBS for the first time since her declaration through 'Boss, Your Ears Are Donkey Ears.'
On that day, Lee Jeong-min said she opened a spa shop, stating, "I put all my severance pay in and took out a bank loan." Regarding her severance pay, she mentioned, "I received about 100 million won, roughly equivalent to a big 1 bill." Lee Min-jung noted that she might be able to take over the position of Jeong In, causing laughter.
When asked if he would recommend Jeong In's independence, Lee Jeong-min shook his head. He advised Jeong In, "Don't do it. Those who have not been out don't know; there are no lights like this. The studio size is like this. You can't see it several times a year."
When Jeong In disclosed, "The heating doesn't work here," Lee Jeong-min responded, "Heating doesn't work in the middle of winter? It's worse outside."
Lee Jeong-min recalled the most sorrowful moment, saying, "As soon as I resigned, I received a call from a bank related to KBS. They told me to immediately pay off my overdraft account. The collateral for this was KBS's backing. I'm asking, what do you believe in to lend me this?" Jeong In lamented, "I currently have full-time, weekend work, and overnight duty in August."
In response, Lee Jeong-min said, "But I miss that work. Because of that, my salary has been credited to my account every month. Also, if I go out, I have to put down all the programs I'm doing now. And I may never be able to do such programs again."
