Crayon Pop's Wei confessed that she has completed her egg freezing.
On the 9th, a new video titled "Before marriage, I froze my eggs. Real review on expense, pain, and quantity!" was released on the YouTube channel 'Wayland'.
On this day, Wei said, "I want to talk about egg freezing from A to Z. It has been about 10 days since the procedure was completed. I believe I am at the stage where recovery is almost finished. Earlier, Wei revealed the reason she decided to freeze her eggs in June. At that time, she explained, "Seeing my sister ChoA getting married and preparing for a baby has influenced me. The reason for freezing eggs is to make use of my eggs when I'm a bit younger."
Wei's twin sister ChoA disclosed that last October, during her first year of marriage, she underwent a prenatal exam in preparation for pregnancy and was diagnosed with cervical cancer, leading to surgery. Afterward, ChoA announced that she successfully completed the surgery and could prepare for pregnancy.
After completing her egg freezing, Wei stated, "I undergo tests such as AMH tests, ultrasound, and electrocardiograms. Even if you don't freeze your eggs, I think it would be good to get tested. Knowing your ovarian age can lead to urgent use of IVF or egg freezing. Luckily, my ovarian age came out to be in my early 20s. I'm 35, but from age 35, it tends to drop significantly. That's why I did it."
Wei remarked, "I thought I would be free afterward, but I was told I need to rest for a week due to excessive exercise, etc. So, I harvested 23 eggs and froze 16, which makes me feel secure. On average, 10 eggs are harvested, and 70% are frozen. That's a high percentage for my age. The more you freeze, the more expensive it is," and added, "The procedure expense alone ranges from 2 to 4 million won. The storage expense for the first year is 300,000 won, and afterward, it's about 200,000 to 400,000 won. It's expensive, but the government provides half of the support."
