Actor Kim Yo-han is growing into a true captain thanks to Yoon Gye-sang.
Kim Yo-han portrayed Yun Seong-jun in the 6th episode of SBS's The Winning Try, which aired on the 9th, showing the demeanor of a captain who steadfastly leads the rugby team.
That day, the Hanyang Physical Education High School rugby team felt disheartened when they matched up against 'Daesang High School,' last year's national championship winner, in the 2025 President's Cup National High School Rugby Tournament schedule. However, Yun Seong-jun's eyes sparkled at the words of Coach Joo Ga-ram (played by Yoon Gye-sang), who said, "Our goal is to conquer the nation. To do that, we must overcome Daesang High at least once."
Yun Seong-jun then showed his passion by leading his teammates in training late into the night. His leadership shone through in helping Moon Woong (played by Kim Dan) to grow. While directly coaching Moon Woong's stance, he meticulously instructed, "Lower your center of gravity more. Think of targeting just below your thighs. Your arms and shoulders should go deep into the opponent's body."
In particular, Yun Seong-jun demonstrated quick judgment as a captain when he noted to Coach Joo Ga-ram, "Woong's growth rate is fast. I feel like he can do more than one person's worth." When Do Hyung-sik (played by Yoon Jae-chan) was injured during training due to unrelated horseplay, Yun Seong-jun took the lead as a captain and bowed his head to Coach Joo Ga-ram, saying, "I'm sorry."
As such, Kim Yo-han showcases strong determination to lead the team through training and shows diverse expressions of Yun Seong-jun, who feels guilt for not being able to prevent a teammate's injury, helping to engage viewers.
As Kim Yo-han plays a pivotal role in the growth of the rugby team as captain, expectations are high for how he will lead the team in the future.
Meanwhile, Kim Yo-han's passionate performance in SBS's The Winning Try airs every Friday and Saturday night at 9:50 p.m.
