The group Kep1er has heightened the excitement of their comeback by presenting the highlight medley of their new album "BUBBLE GUM."
Kep1er (Choi Yujin, Xiaoting, Kim Chaehyun, Kim Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahie, Seo Young-eun) is receiving enthusiastic responses from K-pop fans by unveiling a highlight medley video that features some of the five tracks included in their 7th mini album "BUBBLE GUM."
The highlight medley rapidly transitions from the opening track "Taste Better," which is responsible for the intense introduction with its groovy vibe, to the title song "BUBBLE GUM," a house-based EDM pop dance track, and then to the up-tempo track "Don't Be Dumb," which only Kep1er can distinctly deliver.
Following this, the pop dance genre track "Ice Tea," which captures Kep1er's strong energy and refreshing summer image, is played, along with the Korean version of the title track "YUM" from Kep1er's mini album "AGAINST THE WORLD," released in Japan last April, which enhances immersion.
In particular, the highlight medley video, which visually and texturally expresses the pop concept and colors of the included songs, also captivates the audience.
The video unfolds familiar themes of cats and daily life with a dreamlike and surreal sentiment, adding special meaning through collaboration with illustrator "Mond Kim," who is gaining attention for his unique worldview. Mond Kim has been recognized for his distinctive artistic world through collaborations with global brands such as CASETiFY, Lenovo, Under Armour, Adobe, and Hera.
From "Taste Better," which expresses a metal butterfly image fluttering quietly while sticking precariously to a finger and swelling and shrinking, to "BUBBLE GUM," which depicts a hot pink walker stepping on and lifting off bubble gum that is stuck plumply on the asphalt, the visuals are impressive.
Additionally, the image video maximizes designs ranging from a retro computer represented as a heart-shaped bubble gum to cool designs with pink and mint ice overflowing with energy, further heightening expectations for Kep1er's hip music world, which hints at a bold transformation and visual reversal through this album.
Kep1er has shown remarkable achievements in various aspects, including topping domestic charts with their sixth mini album "TIPI-TAP," released last November, and recording 147th on the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S. for the first time since their debut. Expectations are building for their new release, which will come approximately nine months later.
The 7th mini album "BUBBLE GUM," where listeners can experience Kep1er's addictive voices, will be released on the 19th through various music sites.
