Former announcer Han Sung-joo is drawing attention after revealing her current situation for the first time in 14 years since her break from activity.
Recently, Han posted a photo on her personal TikTok account with the caption "proud figure skater Kim Yuna, along with her junior~~".
The released photo shows Kim Yuna and Han Sung-joo participating in the 120th anniversary event of their alma mater, Korea University. The two, dressed in modern suits, clasp their hands and smile for a two-shot.
Han expressed her pride by saying, "She is always amazing, impressive, and proud."
Earlier, Han opened a TikTok account in 2023. However, she did so under the name "Esther" rather than "Han Sung-joo," which is why she is not well known to the public. Han has been sharing her everyday life with her pet dog, as well as her activities like golf and riding through her TikTok account.
Han Sung-joo is an announcer and actress who graduated as Miss Korea in 1994. She made her acting debut in 1995 and passed the SBS announcer exam the following year. However, she married in 1999 and divorced just 10 months later.
In 2011, while actively working, a video featuring her private life with a partner was leaked, causing her to end her activities, and she has not been active for over 14 years since. Recently, a netizen commented on Han's social media, stating, "Everyone experiences physical and emotional love. Because she is a public figure, it became more publicized, and it likely approached you as a hurtful matter, Sung-joo. Thank you for enduring and holding on."
In response, Han commented, "Thank you for your words. Sometimes just passing by without knowing can be another form of support. Hehe."
