Reality star Kim Kardashian (44) headed to Mexico for a unique treatment not available in the United States.
On the 8th (local time), Kardashian shared her experience of receiving "Muse" stem cell therapy at a medical center in Mexico via her social media. In the released photos, she visited the hospital with her sister Khloé Kardashian, wearing a surgical gown and protective glasses while posing with the medical staff. Some of the treatment scenes also captured her back stained with blood.
She noted, "Two years ago, I injured my shoulder while weight training and suffered from extreme pain. I tried various methods, but nothing worked, and when I learned about the possibility of stem cell therapy, I met Dr. Adil Khan of Eterna." She added, "Immediately after the treatment, my shoulder's range of motion was completely restored, and I returned to normal."
Kardashian explained that she returned to Mexico for treatment of chronic back pain she had suffered for several years. "The Muse stem cell therapy was a game changer this time as well. The pain disappeared immediately after the procedure, and I thought my body was falling apart, but it changed completely," she expressed satisfaction.
She also added a word of caution, saying, "This treatment may not be suitable for everyone. It is necessary to consult with experts and conduct prior research." In the U.S., only specific stem cell therapies (such as umbilical cord-derived stem cell transplants) have received FDA approval, and most are still in the experimental stage and not approved for general treatment.
Kardashian concluded, "I am grateful for the opportunity and resources to receive this treatment. I hope science progresses so that more people can benefit from it," ending with the words, "for hope, healing, and the future of science."
