Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube, visiting Jinju for "Jun Hyun-moo Plan 2," completed a 'food and fun' food trip while having a pleasant conversation about love with 'Jun Hyun-moo's best friend' Im Soo-hyang.
In the 41st episode of the full-fledged real sidewalk food documentary "Jun Hyun-moo Plan 2" (co-produced by MBN and Channel S) aired on the 8th, Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) showcased a food trip that 'kills all' special eateries that can only be found in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, along with their 'food buddy' Im Soo-hyang. They explored the famous 'Jinju cold noodles' synonymous with Jinju, as well as a red bean shaved ice shop known as 'Im Soo-hyang Plan' and a local delicacy restaurant with a '110-year tradition,' leading viewers into a world of culinary delight.
On this day, Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube, who arrived in Jinju, chose the uniquely flavored 'Jinju cold noodles' instead of 'gukbap' that had even been reported to have the broth stolen. At the Jinju cold noodles restaurant, the two tasted a variety of unique noodles in order, including 'Soonjo water cold noodles,' 'Nonggae bibim cold noodles,' and cold noodles named after the owner, soaking in the summer. Regarding the water cold noodles, they described it as 'a taste I've never had before' and 'new and puzzling,' while after tasting the bibim cold noodles, they burst into dance, exuding happiness. After finishing their refreshing meal, they welcomed 'food buddy' Im Soo-hyang. She presented them with 'Jinju ttaengcho gimbap' she had brought, and the three sat on a park bench, unexpectedly engaging in a 'spicy challenge.'
Furthermore, Im Soo-hyang noted, "My mom's friend is from Jinju. There is a red bean shaved ice shop that she 'highly recommends'" as she guided the two 'food bros.' Moments later, having arrived at the shaved ice shop, Im Soo-hyang introduced, "Welcome to 'Im Soo-hyang Plan.' This place is a bakery that opened in 1947." Kwak Tube reacted genuinely, exclaiming that it looked like a house from the show 'Black Rubber Shoes' upon seeing the nostalgic atmosphere of the eatery. Shortly after, 'Jinju steamed bread' was served, topped with red bean porridge, and Jun Hyun-moo, after tasting it, remarked, "It's so precious. If it's sold in Apgujeong, I would stand in line for it," giving it a 'thumbs up.' Im Soo-hyang praised the simplicity of the red bean shaved ice, stating, "The pairing is just too good."
The three, who also 'killed' Jinju's 'honey bread' with a different taste from Tongyeong, headed towards a local delicacy restaurant where they could encounter Korea's 'top three bibimbap.' There, they ordered bibimbap, bulgogi, and meat pancakes. Notably, Im Soo-hyang tied her hair back as soon as the makgeolli was served, prompting Jun Hyun-moo to comment on the 'serious battle stance' and showcase their chemistry.
While enjoying delicious food, the conversation blossomed. Im Soo-hyang took the opportunity to share a story where she introduced a stewardess to Jun Hyun-moo, revealing, "(Hyun-moo) Oppa was so busy during that time that he went on a blind date in the gaps of his schedule." She continued, "Back then, (Hyun-moo) Oppa was so tired that after dropping the blind date off, he parked the car in front of their house and slept in the car," exposing an unimaginable behind-the-scenes story. In response, Jun Hyun-moo recounted, "I always did this on blind dates. Once, I went on a blind date with a musical actress, and I was so tired and sleepy that I asked, 'Can I sleep for 20 minutes?'"
