Actor Heo Seong-tae revealed that he developed panic disorder after "Squid Game."
On the afternoon of the 9th, the MBC entertainment program "What Do You Do When You Play?" depicted Yoo Jae-suk and Lee Yi-kyung presenting an invitation to Heo Seong-tae for a reunion of the "Insa-mo (the club for unpopular people)."
Receiving the invitation, Heo Seong-tae acknowledged, "I'm not popular either." To the comment that he heard there is a fan café, he said, "There are 30 members. I am not popular. I view myself objectively well."
Heo Seong-tae, who gained global popularity with Netflix's "Squid Game," said, "My Instagram followers went up to 2.4 million. But after that, they decreased by 1,000 each day, so it went down to 1.2 million. Recently, thanks to 'Good Boy,' it became 1.39 million."
However, Heo Seong-tae revealed that he developed panic disorder after "Squid Game." He confessed, "It just happened overnight. All the staff seemed like watchers. They seemed to be looking at how well I act. I stopped all filming. I went through that for the first time. So, I went to the neurology department and took medication."
In response, Lee Yi-kyung said, "So, that's why we didn't keep in touch back then. I didn't know. There were also comments that you changed after becoming successful," and Heo Seong-tae expressed his frustration, saying, "I haven't done anything."
